Casa Portagioia is a small estate in Castiglion Fiorentino near Cortona which has several rooms for bed and breakfast guests and independent apartments available. With excellent privacy, a heated swimming pool and gorgeous scenery, it is perfect for a peaceful break in the countryside or to explore the delights of Tuscany



The area: The main town is Castiglion Fiorentino, a medieval town with Etruscan heritage. From here you can visit Cortona and Arezzo which are about 15 minutes away or, well within an hours drive you are able to visit many Tuscan and Ubrian towns such as Florence, Siena, Assisi, the Chianti region, Montepulciano - to name but a few. There is also a train station at Castiglion with trains to Rome and Florence - although faster express trains are available from Arezzo.
