The Farmhouse La Normande . The listed cheese-cover farmhouse at Binnenwijzend was built in 1857. This distinctive property is located in the Grootslag polder just outside Westwoud, a picturesque West Frisian village between the historic towns of Hoorn, Medemblik and Enkhuizen. Your hostess, the French farmer’s daughter Christine Bataille lives at the front of the house with her children.
The former animal quarters at the back have been converted into guest accommodation with a terrace providing a view over fields and meadows with cows and sheep as far as the eye can see. A lot of space around to park your car, or for the children to play. Also people with handicap can easily walk around because there are no stairs anywhere at home and outside. You can rent by us a bike. You can catch the train 1 mile away to go quietly to Amsterdam.
Guests may also use the large terrace, the lawn (with trampoline) and the spacious lounge, where Christine serves a West Frisian breakfast in the morning. Guests who stay longer may use the kitchen, the washing machine and the drier.
