"The Cottage is in the hamlet of Les Tendoux with 7 other houses all from the 15th and 16th centuries. Les Tendoux is surrounded by farmland and has a vineyard-first planted in the 11th century-right outside the front door. Both the farmland and vineyard are regularly worked, but the level of agricultural noise is very low. There is wonderful woodland and open countryside with wildflowers, butterflies, deer. birds and other wildlife seldom now seen elsewhere.The Cottage is a classic gite, in that it is charming , well furnished and appointed, but not at the luxury end of the scale. It is especially suitable for a family with two children. The main double bedroom downstairs next to the sitting room is of a size suitable for 2 adults while the upstairs bedroom is far more suitable for children, perhaps even teenagers! The large sitting room can also serve as a dining area although the kitchen is large enough to accommodate four. There is a sizeable bathroom off the sitting room. There are original paintings, sofa, arm chairs and rugs to make the sitting room comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped.
The house is cleaned prior to your arrival and we ask that it be left within reason as it is found- if it is not, a cleaning charge is made against the damage deposit.There is substantial garden outside, for general recreation, sunbathing etc. The hamlet is surrounded by fascinating woods and farmland as well as the vineyard, with a communal well, river and a wealth of walks for all ages to explore. There are also a huge range of activities within a half hours drive
For a little relaxing diversion, its only a brief drive or a charming walk through the fields to Issigeac for a welcome ""pression"", pastis or ice cream in one of the several bars.
Use of the swimming pool, depending on the occupation of the Pigeonnier may be possible at the owners discretion.
