Our recently refurbished one bedroom 'casita' (little house) has been lovingly renovated,incorporating comfort and modern conveniences whilst ensuring its rustic charm and character are maintained. The house is located in a quiet corner, only a short (but steep) stroll from the village square.

The small but beautifully formed kitchen, handcrafted by a localcarpenter, is equipped with a full size cooker with ceramic hob, microwave, toaster,kettle and fridge-freezer. The cosy sitting room, with original tiled floor, has a comfy sofa,TV, video, CD/tape player and a small dining area for two. The house is powered completely by electricity as Competa is not the ideal place to be carrying gas bottles up and down!

Upstairs there is a double bedroom and ensuite shower room. Further steps lead to a private roof terrace and utility room with washing machine. The terrace affords breathtaking views of the village and surrounding countryside, right down to the coast. It's absolutely perfect for romantic alfresco dining, and is equipped with table, chairs and loungers.

The village of Competa is beautifully situated in the foothills of the Sierra Almijara mountain range, on the border of the Sierra de Tejeda National Park. Being almost 700m above sea level stunning views abound. Competa is, however, only 16km from the coast by road. Nerja, Malaga, Almunecar and Granada, as well as countless idyllic villages, are within easy reach by car.
